  • A. We encourage everyone to stop by one of our locations and meet with a coach. We can set up a Zoom call if you are a prospective remote.

Even if you have no background in Strength Training, Oly Lifting, or other barbell sports, feel free to fill out our training application so that we can better understand your goals.

  • A. If you have previous experience with barbell strength sports (for example, CrossFit, functional fitness, powerlifting), we encourage incoming athletes to attend Oly On-Ramp first.

    OLY ON-RAMP

  • A. Over the years, we’ve coached thousands of beginners ranging from 7 to 70 years old. Everyone has to take that first step and start somewhere. Our Olympic Lifting program is scaled based on your individual capabilities.

Most athletes with little or no experience start with On-Ramp.

    OLY ON-RAMP

  • A. We have daily group sessions seven days a week, depending on location.

    Mon - Fri 4p-8p

    Sat & Sun 10a-12p

If you cannot attend any of those sessions and need to train during off hours, we offer 24x7 open gym.

  • A. We won’t suggest you stop “Cross-fitting” while training with Austin Barbell, but you should limit WODs that include barbell movements so that you can adequately learn new movement patterns. More is simply not better.

  • A. The most significant difference you’ll see is that Crossfit sessions are centered around a WOD and might be time capped. Strength Training or Weightlifting is based on the prescribed reps or volume. Most days will blend 2-4 primary exercises plus accessories.

    Q. Can you arrive late?

    A. Yes, you can be late. You read that right. Unlike CrossFit classes, which start immediately at an allotted time, barbell sessions run at a different pace. So if you can make it with an hour to spare and get right to work, you can still get a good session completed.

  • Open Gym is unstructured time where the gym is available to Open Gym Member and/or Community Members.

    Daily, or Monthly Pricing Available.

    OPEN GYM PRICING
