This is a hands-on Chinese Weightlifting camp led by experienced D.N.T. coaches. Over two days, athletes and coaches will break down the snatch and clean & jerk through technical work, individual corrections, and theory-based instruction. This is not a seminar for spectators. Everyone lifts. Everyone gets coached.

  • Day 1: Snatch + theory (6 hours)
  • Day 2: Clean & Jerk + theory (6 hours)
  • Location: Austin Barbell South (Austin, TX)
  • Cost: $466 USD
  • Capacity: 14 participants (limited)

No minimum experience required. We have two coaches on the floor to ensure everyone is taken care of.

About the Coaches (D.N.T.)

Coach Zhou

  • Former professional Chinese weightlifter
  • 3rd place – Chinese National Youth Weightlifting Championship
  • 1st place – Anhui Provincial Championship
  • Snatch record holder – Anhui Province
  • PB (53kg): Snatch 86kg • Clean & Jerk 103kg • Total 189kg
  • Coaching experience: 3000+ hours

Specialties: Technical adjustment, periodized program design, beginner development, performance improvement for CrossFitters

Coach Chen

  • Former professional Chinese weightlifter
  • 1st place – Sichuan Provincial Weightlifting Championship
  • PB (67kg): Snatch 130kg • Clean & Jerk 155kg • Total 285kg
  • Coaching experience: 2000+ hours

Specialties: Strength development for weightlifting, coaching amateur lifters, weightlifting coaching strategy for trainers

FAQ

Do I need prior Olympic weightlifting experience?

No. All training levels are welcome. The camp is structured so beginners and advanced lifters are coached appropriately.

Will I receive individual coaching?

Yes. This is a small group (14 athletes max) with two coaches on the floor at all times.

Is this camp appropriate for CrossFit athletes?

Yes. Many of the technical principles directly apply to CrossFit Olympic lifting.

What should I bring?

Weightlifting shoes, normal training gear, and a notebook if you like taking notes. Mostly: show up ready to learn and train.

What is the refund policy?

No refunds. You may transfer your spot to another athlete if you cannot attend.

How do I know my registration is confirmed?

Once payment is completed via PayPal or Zelle, your spot is confirmed and you are added to the attendee list.
